Johnny Williams

Johnny WILLIAMS was born in 1972 in Sanlis, France.

Johnny, 14, starts to compose jingles and generics for national TV shows and is employed as a sound engineer assistant in Studios Harryson.

At 18, he is entirely committed to writing, composing and producing as well as working as a sound engineer for well-known french artists such as Catherine Lara, Johnny Halliday, Touré Kounda, Carlos, Serge Reggiani...

1995

Johnny is producing himself as an artist with the band "Roman Photo" and releases a first single "Sounds of Summer" which becomes gold record (more than 400 000 copies), following with 2 singles that will sell another 450 000 copies.

1998

First gold album as a composer-producer with the artist Alan Theo.
The song "Emmène moi" becomes a huge summer hit which seriously increases Johnny’s reputation within the music business as a talent finder.

2001

Johnny decides to produce a new teenager focused artist named Lorie.
The first single "Près de Moi" is a triple platinum (more than 700 000 copies), and the following album "Près de Toi" is a triple platinum (more than 950 000 copies).

2002

Involvement in the project "Hashem" takes Johnny to the famous Miami studios "Hit Factory". Johnny starts to explore the American way of producing and creates his own production company in the USA : 222 Records inc.

December 2002: Johnny receives the SACEM’s Rolf Marbot Award for "Best love song of the year" for "J’ai besoin d’amour".

2002 to 2006

Release of 3 other studio albums plus 1 "Best of" for Lorie (“Tendrement”, “Attitudes” and “Rester la même” which will sell between 600 000 and 900 000 copies each). Lorie takes part in 3 mega tours totalising 250 gigs in the largest venues in France, Belgium and Switzerland, reaching around 3 millions peoples ! 3 live albums and 3 DVD’s are released, all certified Gold to Diamond!

2007

Johnny is currently working on 2 huge projects due to be released in autumn 2007 and spring 2008.
